Locum Tenens Psychiatrist – Nights | Dallas, TX Compensation: $200-$225/hour Location: Dallas, Texas Start Date: September 2026 Assignment Length: 13 Weeks Schedule: 7 PM – 7 AM | Any 2 nights per week (Tuesday–Saturday) Call: None Parkland Health & Hospital System is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for a locum tenens opportunity in its Psychiatric Emergency Services department. Position Details - Adult psychiatric emergency care with occasional pediatric psychiatric consultations - Work within Psychiatric Emergency Units and Emergency Department consult services - Manage up to 10 patients per shift in psychiatric emergency units - Consult team averages 5–6 patients per 12-hour shift - EMR: Epic - No call responsibilities - Onsite coverage only Responsibilities - Initial and follow-up psychiatric evaluations - Treatment planning and medication management - Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams - Emergency psychiatry consultations - Psychiatric admissions and observation management - Involuntary commitment documentation (as applicable) - Coordination of care with ED and hospital services Requirements - Board Certified Psychiatry (Required) - Active Texas license required - Emergency psychiatry experience preferred - Local providers strongly preferred Facility - Parkland Health & Hospital System - Acute Care Hospital - Level I Trauma Center - Dallas, Texas If you are interested in providing high-quality psychiatric care in a fast-paced emergency setting, apply today for immediate consideration.
