- Full-time W-2 employed position - Adult inpatient behavioral health practice - No Medical Director or administrative responsibilities - Manage approximately 10–12 patients per day - Experienced nurse practitioner support - Collaborative multidisciplinary care model - Established clinical and operational infrastructure - Comprehensive benefits package - CME allowance and professional development support Job Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing patient assessments. Manage a daily census of approximately 10–12 adult inpatients. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications. Develop and update individualized treatment plans. Assess patient safety, clinical stability, and readiness for discharge. Collaborate with nurse practitioners, nursing staff, therapists, case management, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings. Complete timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation. Participate in a shared weekend coverage schedule of two weekends per month. Qualifications: MD or DO degree Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Active Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure Active, unrestricted DEA registration Excellent communication and collaboration skills Preferred: Experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting Experience treating adult psychiatric patients Comfort working within a multidisciplinary team environment Schedule Monday through Friday Full-time W-2 employment Two weekends of inpatient coverage per month Adult inpatient behavioral health setting Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is passionate about compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care and comfortable managing an adult inpatient population.
