A respected, mission-driven nonprofit health and human services organization is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a mobile, multidisciplinary Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team supporting adults with serious mental illness right where they live in Brooklyn. What You’ll Do: - Meet adults in their homes and communities for assessments and follow-up visits, partnering with families and caregivers when appropriate - Complete full behavioral and medical health assessments, with diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and individualized care planning - Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including long-acting injectables alongside the team RN - Order and review labs, handle prior authorizations, coordinate with pharmacies, and perform blood draws as needed - Join daily team huddles and weekly supervision to shape person-centered care plans together - Offer brief therapy, psychoeducation, and recovery-focused support to clients and their loved ones - Assess risk, build safety plans, and provide crisis intervention, including respite and diversion referrals - Share in rotating after-hours phone coverage so clients always have a clinician within reach - Consult with non-medical staff on complex cases and partner with outside providers - Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and ongoing ACT training What You’ll Bring: - Active NY Psychiatric NP license - 2+ years of psychiatric experience with adults (ACT experience a big plus) - Comfort working as part of a team on complex cases Why You’ll Love It Here: - Competitive salary: $160k- $170k (varies depending on years of experience) - Predictable Monday–Friday, 9–5 schedule, with some evening availability and a shared on-call rotation - Collaborative team model with daily support from psychiatrists, nurses, and clinical leadership - Purpose-driven, recovery-focused work with meaningful long-term client relationships - Join a long-established nonprofit with deep roots in New York communities Atlas Search is a tri-state area recruitment agency, connecting new graduates, Advanced Practice Providers, Physicians and Nurse Leaders to hospitals, clinics, multi-specialty groups, nursing homes, managed care companies, private practices, and healthcare start-ups.
