Locum Tenens Psychiatry Physician - Minnesota A healthcare system in Minnesota is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for an ongoing onsite consult-liaison psychiatry assignment beginning September 2026. Assignment Details - Start: September 21, 2026 (orientation); ongoing coverage needed - Schedule: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, 9-hour days - Setting: Inpatient hospital consult service with intermittent tele-consult support to regional hospitals - Clinical mix: Primarily psychiatric consults on medical units, with occasional ED consults - ED consults are largely managed by the consult NP/PA team - Average volume: 5-7 patients per shift - EMR: Epic - No call, admissions, or APP supervision required - Temporary privileges available; credentialing estimated at 45-90 days Required Dates - September 21: Orientation - September 22-October 5 - October 13-19 - November 3-16 - November 24-December 11 - December 29-January 11 - January 26-February 8 - February 23-March 8 Requirements - Board Certified in Psychiatry - Active Minnesota license or IMLC eligibility - Active Wisconsin license and DEA also required for intermittent regional tele-consult coverage - Prior consult-liaison psychiatry experience outside of residency required - Must be eligible for hospital privileges with no affirmative disclosure items on the facility's credentialing questionnaire Compensation - Orientation: $195/hour - Regular clinical hours: $325/hour - Overtime: $400/hour after 9 hours worked (rare) Travel, lodging, malpractice insurance, and credentialing support available.
