A behavioral health facility in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to provide direct clinical care within an established behavioral health setting. The facility currently has approximately 70 patients, with capacity for approximately 80, and also operates a small Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) onsite. This is a clinical Psychiatrist position, not a Medical Director role. The physician will focus on psychiatric evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, patient stabilization, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team. Position Highlights - Full-time clinical Psychiatry opportunity - Established behavioral health facility - Approximately 70-patient census with capacity for approximately 80 - Small PHP program onsite - Direct patient care with multidisciplinary collaboration - No Medical Director responsibilities Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up assessments Provide medication management and monitor treatment response Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans Provide ongoing psychiatric care for assigned patients Participate in admissions, discharges, treatment planning, and clinical reviews Monitor patient progress and clinical stabilization Collaborate with nursing, therapy, case management, and other clinical providers Support inpatient and PHP services as assigned Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation Follow established clinical, safety, quality, and compliance standards Participate in treatment reviews and quality-improvement activities Qualifications: Qualifications MD or DO with completed Psychiatry residency training Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Ohio medical license preferred, or ability and willingness to obtain Previous inpatient psychiatry or behavioral health experience preferred Comfortable working in a higher-census behavioral health environment PHP, detox, residential behavioral health, dual diagnosis, or substance-use experience is a plus Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Collaborative and team-oriented Work Environment This is an established, facility-based behavioral health environment with a current census of approximately 70 patients. The Psychiatrist will work alongside nursing, therapy, case management, and facility leadership in a structured multidisciplinary setting. The role is primarily focused on direct clinical psychiatry rather than administrative or Medical Director duties. Location Columbus, Ohio
