A Mental Health Center outside of Carbondale is seeking a short or long-term psychiatrist to provide mental health diagnosis and treatment in a collaborative team environment. On-site position with a very manageable caseload. Short-term contracted position - Lucrative hourly rate. Call today to learn more! Job Responsibilities: Oversee a caseload of adult mental health inpatients. Diagnose, evaluate and prescribe psychiatric medications and treatment plans. 30-day evaluations Forensic reports for court as needed or required. (Court-ordered admissions only) Collaborative team approach Document progress and other vital information as required Follow the policy and procedures of the facility. Qualifications: Board eligible or certified in Psychiatry ABPN Graduate of an accredited US Psychiatric Residency Medical in the State of Illinois. Controlled Substance Licensure DEA Working Hours: 8 am - 4:30 pm with a required 30-minute lunch break. Tuesday to Friday. No after-hours call No weekends or holiday coverage.
