Psychiatrist Medical Director | Inpatient Behavioral Health Leadership Opportunity A leading behavioral health organization is seeking an experienced Psychiatrist Medical Director to provide clinical leadership and psychiatric oversight for an established behavioral health facility in the Columbus, Ohio area. This full-time physician leadership opportunity is ideal for a psychiatrist who enjoys combining direct patient care with clinical leadership, multidisciplinary collaboration, and quality-focused initiatives. The Medical Director will provide psychiatric care, support clinical teams, participate in treatment planning, and help maintain high standards of patient safety, quality, and behavioral health outcomes. Job Responsibilities: Clinical Leadership Serve as Psychiatrist Medical Director for an established behavioral health program Provide psychiatric leadership and clinical oversight Support high-quality behavioral healthcare delivery Collaborate with facility leadership regarding clinical initiatives Provide guidance to multidisciplinary care teams Patient Care Conduct psychiatric evaluations Provide medication management and treatment recommendations Participate in admissions, discharges, and clinical reviews Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans Monitor patient progress and clinical outcomes Multidisciplinary Collaboration Partner with nursing, therapy, case management, and operational leadership Support coordinated patient care delivery Provide clinical direction to healthcare teams Promote communication across behavioral health services Quality & Compliance Support quality improvement initiatives Maintain appropriate clinical documentation standards Promote patient safety practices Participate in clinical reviews and process improvement activities Qualifications: Required Qualifications MD or DO degree Completion of Psychiatry residency training Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Active medical license or ability to obtain Ohio licensure Strong clinical psychiatry background Experience providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management Preferred Qualifications Previous Psychiatric Medical Director experience Associate Medical Director experience Chief Psychiatrist experience Senior inpatient psychiatry experience Behavioral health facility leadership experience PHP, IOP, detox, residential, or dual diagnosis experience Working Hours: Full-Time Leadership Schedule Skills: Psychiatry Psychiatrist Behavioral Health Inpatient Psychiatry Medical Director Clinical Leadership Psychiatric Evaluations Medication Management Treatment Planning Mental Health Patient Safety Quality Improvement Multidisciplinary Care Physician Leadership Psychiatric Hospital Dual Diagnosis Substance Use Disorder PHP Behavioral Medicine
