We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry physician for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, CA. This is an inpatient adolescent psychiatry opportunity involving rounding, night call coverage, and admission management. Please see below for more information. EMR: Epic Job Responsibilities: Provide inpatient psychiatric care for adolescent patients Administer and manage psychiatric medications in adolescent patients, including psychopharmacology Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team Manage challenging behaviors in adolescent patients Place admission orders for patients accepted during call shifts Provide rounding coverage on assigned days Lead the multidisciplinary team Qualifications: Board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP), or at minimum board certified in General Psychiatry with a completed CAP fellowship (required) Active California medical license (no IMLC) DEA registration with Schedule II/IIN BLS (AHA only) Working Hours: Scheduled coverage with on-call required. The position covers 2 weekends per month plus the following Monday and Tuesday. Monday/Tuesday: 8a–5p on site, followed by night call until 8a Weekends: Approximately 6 hours of rounding beginning at 8a; on call until 8a the following day after rounding Night call (Mon/Tues) and 24-hour weekend coverage; admission orders expected for patients arriving during call shifts For more information and to apply, please apply via the DocCafe link, or schedule time to speak with me via the calendar link below.
