Aya Locums is seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist for ongoing night shift coverage in a busy emergency psychiatry setting. Schedule - Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM - Coverage Needed: Any 2 days between Tuesday-Saturday - No Call Required - Provider remains onsite during shifts Practice Setting - Adults primarily - Occasional psychiatric consultations for pediatric patients in the Main Emergency Department - Two Psychiatric Emergency Units (PED & PEU) - One dedicated Psychiatric ER Consult Team Patient Volume - Psych ER providers manage a maximum of approximately 10 patients per shift - Consult team averages 5-6 patients per 12-hour shift Responsibilities - Complete initial and follow up psychiatric evaluations - Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams - Communicate recommendations to consulting teams and place orders as needed - Conduct physician to physician transfer discussions - Coordinate with additional services when necessary - Complete involuntary psychiatric hospitalization paperwork (OPC applications) - Perform physician-specific duties supporting APPs, including restraint orders, face-to-face evaluations, and required signatures - Admit patients to psychiatric observation when appropriate Requirements - Board Certified Psychiatrist - Experience in emergency psychiatry preferred - Comfortable working in a fast-paced emergency setting EMR - Epic For more information, contact Kade Cannon Call or Text: 858-221-4578 Email CV to: kade.cannon@ayalocums.com
