Inpatient Psychiatrist – St. Simons Island, Georgia Join SouthlandMD on the Georgia Coast SouthlandMD is seeking a compassionate, patient-centered Psychiatrist to join our inpatient behavioral health team on beautiful St. Simons Island, Georgia. This is a full-time, in-person inpatient position offering a Monday-Friday schedule with the opportunity to practice alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional psychiatric care. Position Highlights Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule Inpatient behavioral health setting APP Supervision Compensation Medical Director Stipend Available Collaborative multidisciplinary team Administrative and clinical support Competitive compensation Beautiful coastal Georgia location Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for hospitalized patients Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices Manage psychiatric medications and monitor treatment effectiveness Lead multidisciplinary treatment planning with nursing, therapists, case managers, and social workers Participate in daily patient rounds and coordinate discharge planning Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care Ensure high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care in an inpatient setting Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Active Georgia medical license (or ability to obtain) DEA registration (or ability to obtain) Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Commitment to evidence-based, compassionate patient care What We Offer Competitive compensation package Full Benefits Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, CME Reimbursment, PTO) Supportive physician-led organization Collaborative clinical environment Administrative support allowing you to focus on patient care Opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the community Practice in one of Georgia's premier coastal destinations Why St. Simons Island?
