We are seeking a Psychiatrist for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, CA. This is an adolescent inpatient psychiatry assignment. Please see below for more information. Job Responsibilities: Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for adolescent inpatients Round on adolescent psychiatric inpatients Manage psychiatric medications for children and adolescents Apply knowledge of adolescent development and family systems in patient care Lead and coordinate care within a multidisciplinary treatment team Place admission orders for patients arriving during call shifts Qualifications: Board certified, minimum BC in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP); or at minimum BC in General Psychiatry with a completed CAP fellowship California state medical license CA DEA with Schedule II/IIN BLS (AHA) Working Hours: 2 weekends per month, plus the Monday and Tuesday following each weekend Monday/Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on site, followed by night call until 8:00 AM Weekends: approximately 6 hours of rounding beginning at 8:00 AM, then on call until 8:00 AM the following day Night call Monday/Tuesday; 24-hour coverage plus rounding on weekends Approximately 6–12 patients per day For more information and to apply, please apply via the DocCafe link, or schedule time to speak with me via the calendar link below.
