• Seeking 1 local Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) for part-time locum coverage. • This is an inpatient hospital-based assignment with no scheduled outpatient clinic sessions. • The provider will primarily round on psychiatric inpatients and document patient care in Wellsky. • Patient population ranges from 17 to 68 years old. • Daily patient census/caseload is approximately 20 patients. • Providers will see both new and existing patients. • Experience may be accepted in lieu of fellowship training. • Local candidates only will be considered. Job Responsibilities: • Round on inpatient psychiatric patients. • Evaluate new and established patients. • Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans. • Provide ongoing psychiatric management and follow-up care. • Document patient encounters and clinical care in Wellsky EMR. • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other members of the care team. • Provide coverage on additional days when other providers are unavailable, as needed. • Administer/manage medications and treatments appropriate for inpatient psychiatric care. • No responsibility for mid-level supervision is required. Qualifications: • Active Nurse Practitioner license eligible to practice in Missouri. • Psychiatric/mental health Nurse Practitioner experience preferred. • Inpatient behavioral health experience preferred. • Experience may be accepted in lieu of fellowship training. • Board certification/board eligibility is not required. • BLS and CPR certification required. • Suboxone certification is not required. • Must be a local candidate. • Must be comfortable caring for adolescent and adult psychiatric patients. Working Hours: • Part-time locum assignment. • Primary coverage days: Monday and Tuesday. • Additional weekdays may be available when other providers are out. • Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. • Assignment dates: October 19, 2026 – January 17, 2027. • Assignment length: 13 weeks. • Work week: Monday – Sunday, based on coverage needs. • No on-call responsibilities. Skills: • Inpatient psychiatric assessment and management. • Patient evaluation and treatment planning. • Medication management. • Clinical documentation in Wellsky. • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 20 patients per day. • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. • Ability to work effectively alongside psychiatrists and other Nurse Practitioners. • Ability to care for patients ages 17–68.
