Locum Psychiatrist needed in Central Texas! - Facility: Inpatient psychiatric hospital - 6- month assignment - Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8a-5p (40 hour week) - no call or weekends - 24 patient average caseload Job Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care, psychiatric assessments and treatment, face-to-face evaluations, and respond to all emergency calls and restraints. Work with dually diagnosed adult patients, mental health, in a residential section, not outpatient clinic. Abide with agency attendance and leave policy and abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of HHSC and Facility and perform other duties as assigned. Responsible for evaluation, diagnosis, medication management, treatment planning, risk assessment, and monitoring patients' progress toward potential discharge/release. (Average 1-2 admissions and discharges per month) Qualifications: Must be a Licensed Physician in the State of Texas. Working Hours: M-F; 8a-5pm 40 hours per week Skills: Provide direct patient care, psychiatric assessments and treatment, face-to-face evaluations, and respond to all emergency calls and restraints.
