Outpatient Psychiatry opening in Wilmington, NC - Experience Required Located in Wilmington, NC – Jacksonville 1h 15m; Myrtle Beach, SC 1h 30m Full-time; Permanent Employed Outpatient Seeking BC/BE Psychiatrist New clinic opening Summer 2027 Overview: * Help launch a brand-new outpatient Psychiatry teaching clinic opening Summer 2027 * Opportunity to help shape and develop a new ambulatory Psychiatry practice from the ground up * Primarily in-person position with 5 days per week on site * Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM * Time divided between resident supervision, direct patient care, teaching and administrative responsibilities * Occasional remote opportunities may be available * Adult patient population, ages 18+ * Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management and individualized treatment planning * Work alongside and provide education to residents, medical students and other learners * Supervision of APPs * Rotating outpatient clinic call shared with other system psychiatrists * Interventional Psychiatry opportunities including ECT and TMS * Potential for leadership development * Strong emphasis on ambulatory Psychiatry, education and work-life balance --- Comp/Benefits: * 2-year salary guarantee * Relocation allowance * CME allowance * Comprehensive medical benefits * Retirement benefits * Paid leave * Malpractice coverage --- Group/Facility Info: * Join a comprehensive Psychiatry Institute providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral healthcare throughout North Carolina * Behavioral health team includes psychiatrists, APPs, psychologists and licensed therapists * System completed approximately 344,000 behavioral health encounters in 2025 * Coastal program includes a 62-bed adult inpatient psychiatric unit * Access to Emergency Psychiatry and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry services * Behavioral health services integrated with Primary Care and specialty clinics * Advanced treatment program includes ECT with TMS expansion planned * Large integrated referral network with extensive primary and specialty care resources -- About the Area: Wilmington is a highly desirable coastal city along the Cape Fear River and Atlantic Ocean, offering easy access to Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach and Kure Beach.
