Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry Opportunity – Troy, NY Quick Screening Snapshot - Location: Troy, New York - Position Type: Full-time, inpatient geriatric psychiatrist - Unit: 20-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit - Schedule: Full-time inpatient, typical daytime hours (exact times not specified) - Call: 1:6 weekend rotation - Start Date: Immediate Licensure & Credentialing Requirements - Board Certification: Required OR truly Board Eligible (Psychiatry) - Board Status: Must be current (no lapsed certification accepted) - State License: New York license required or ability to obtain - DEA: Required Candidate Requirements - Experience or strong interest in geriatric psychiatry preferred - Not accepting locum candidates - Not open to visa sponsorship Clinical Role Overview - Provide inpatient psychiatric care for geriatric patients - Collaborate with Clinical Coordinator/Social Worker trained in geriatric psychiatry - Work within multidisciplinary team: therapists, counselors, case managers, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners - Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care addressing medical, psychiatric, and social needs - Coordinate with system-level behavioral health leadership and resources - Maintain a stable, full-time psychiatrist presence on the Geriatric-Psychiatry unit Compensation & Benefits - Competitive salary range - $25,000 starting bonus - $30,000 retention bonus - Relocation assistance available - Productivity bonuses, quality/performance incentives, extra shift incentives - Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance - Paid malpractice including tail coverage - CME allowance and paid CME time - Paid time off - Retirement savings program - Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Shift & Call Details - Full-time inpatient schedule (daytime hours) - Weekend call: 1:6 rotation RecruitWell's Core Values: - Open communication - Sense of urgency - Teamwork - Accountability - Driven to win - Higher consciousness
