## Psychiatrist | Munster & East Chicago, IN Northwest Indiana — 30 Minutes from Downtown Chicago ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent position * Schedule: Monday–Friday outpatient in Munster — weekend/holiday inpatient rounding 1 in 8 or better at affiliated hospital in East Chicago * Autonomy: Outpatient-based practice with inpatient rounding responsibilities — group practice setting with mentorship and collegial support * Setting: Outpatient (Munster) and inpatient (East Chicago) — EMR: Epic fully integrated HIMSS Stage VII * Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90–120 days from offer acceptance ## Practice Overview Seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist to join a well-established group practice 30 minutes from downtown Chicago: * Outpatient practice based in Munster with inpatient responsibilities at affiliated hospital in East Chicago * Group practice setting with collegial physicians eager to provide mentorship and support * Affiliated healthcare system undergoing explosive growth and expansion across virtually all physician service lines * Access to world-class cultural activities and museums of the Chicago metro area * Epic EMR — fully integrated HIMSS Stage VII — only 5% of hospitals in the country at this level of sophistication * Dedicated EMR support department available ## Compensation & Benefits * Highly competitive salary — negotiable * Sign-on bonus — negotiable * Contract bonuses based on visit productivity * Quality bonus * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) and 457(b) retirement plans with employer match * CME and licensure funds: $6,000 * Licensure reimbursement including license, CSR, DEA, dues, and subscriptions * 5 weeks PTO plus 1 week CME * HRSA Workforce Student Loan Repayment ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO — Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry * Indiana medical license or willingness to obtain ## About the Community – Munster & East Chicago, Indiana * Vibrant northwest Indiana communities in Lake County — 30 minutes from downtown Chicago * Access to world-class cultural activities, museums, dining, and entertainment in Chicago * Situated near Lake Michigan and the Indiana Dunes National Park * Excellent schools and affordable cost of living compared to Chicago metro * Family-friendly neighborhoods with a strong sense of community * Easy access to Chicago via I-90/94 and the South Shore Line commuter rail
