Psychiatrist – Adult Psychiatry | Locum Tenens 📍 Brooklyn, NY 📅 Start Date: September 1, 2026 ⏳ Contract Length: Long-term assignment — through December 31, 2030 🔹 Minimum Commitment: 1 year Position Overview: Seeking an experienced Adult Psychiatrist for a long-term inpatient psychiatric locum assignment in Brooklyn, NY. Requirements: - Active, unrestricted New York medical license - Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology - At least 3 years of experience post-residency - Eligible for full and unconditional participation in Medicaid and Medicare - Must be enrolled in NYS Medicaid Responsibilities: - Provide psychiatric care to inpatient patients with acute and chronic psychiatric conditions - Manage acute behavioral events - Medication management - Conduct peer chart reviews - Participate in hospital, unit, and department meetings - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team - Conduct one group session per week - Complete required medical documentation - Participate in treatment-over-objection, retention, and AOT proceedings for assigned patients - Participate in forensic committee assessments on a rotating basis Interested? 📩 Message me for additional details and submission information.
