Coverage is sought beginning December 14 for a period of three months, with the option to extend. About the Facility Location The state offers a range of attractions suited to varied interests, from theme parks and beaches to natural landscapes including national forests and scenic lake chains. Clinicians on assignment may explore historic sites, enjoy outdoor activities such as dolphin cruises, snorkeling, and wildlife-spotting tours, or take advantage of the state's diverse recreational offerings. The state is also notable for its geography, which allows a drive from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean to be completed in a short time. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians in this role will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services for an adult population, working Monday through Friday during day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week on-site. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management within the inpatient setting; clinicians must also be prepared to manage adolescent admissions while on call. Call coverage is required, with one call per weekday and participation in a weekend on-call rotation of approximately one weekend every other month. An active state medical license and prescriptive authority are required for all clinicians considered for this position.
