Psychiatrist Medical Director Opportunity — Columbus, Ohio NorTek Medical Staffing is working on a confidential Psychiatrist Medical Director opportunity in Columbus, OH. This is a full-time leadership role within a behavioral health facility with a current census around 70 patients and capacity up to approximately 80 patients. The site also has a small PHP onsite. This is a strong fit for a psychiatrist with inpatient behavioral health experience who is comfortable providing both clinical care and medical leadership in an active behavioral health setting. Opportunity Highlights - Location: Columbus, OH - Role: Psychiatrist Medical Director - Setting: Behavioral health facility - Schedule: Full-time - Compensation: $350,000–$400,000 - Census: Around 70 patients - Capacity: Up to approximately 80 patients - PHP: Small PHP onsite - Confidential search through NorTek Medical Staffing Position Responsibilities - Serve as Psychiatrist Medical Director for the facility - Provide psychiatric evaluations, treatment, medication management, and stabilization - Oversee quality and consistency of psychiatric care delivery - Participate in treatment planning, admissions, discharges, and clinical reviews - Collaborate with facility leadership, nursing, therapy, case management, and operations - Provide clinical guidance to the interdisciplinary care team - Support inpatient behavioral health services and PHP coordination as needed - Maintain documentation, compliance, quality, and patient care standards Ideal Candidate - MD or DO - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry - Ohio license preferred, or willingness/ability to obtain - Inpatient psychiatry or behavioral health facility experience strongly preferred - Prior Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, Chief Psychiatrist, or senior attending experience preferred - Comfortable working with an established census - Experience with PHP, detox, residential, substance use, or dual-diagnosis populations is a plus - Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills Why This Role Stands Out This is a strong opportunity for a psychiatrist who wants a Medical Director role in a busy behavioral health setting with an established census, onsite PHP, and competitive compensation of $350K–$400K.
