Psychiatrist Opportunity — Canton, Ohio NorTek Medical Staffing is working on a confidential Psychiatrist opportunity in Canton, OH. This is a full-time clinical psychiatry role within a behavioral health facility with a current census around 70 patients and capacity up to approximately 80 patients. The site also has a small PHP onsite. This is not a Medical Director role, making it a strong fit for a psychiatrist who wants a steady clinical role in a behavioral health setting without formal administrative leadership responsibilities. Opportunity Highlights - Location: Canton, OH - Role: Psychiatrist - Setting: Behavioral health facility - Schedule: Full-time preferred - Compensation: $350,000–$400,000 - Census: Around 70 patients - Capacity: Up to approximately 80 patients - PHP: Small PHP onsite - Medical Director: No - Part-time may be considered for the right candidate - Confidential search through NorTek Medical Staffing Position Responsibilities - Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for assigned patients - Manage medications and support patient stabilization - Participate in treatment planning, admissions, discharges, and clinical reviews - Collaborate with nursing, therapy, case management, and facility leadership - Support inpatient services and PHP coordination as needed - Maintain timely documentation and quality standards - Work closely with an interdisciplinary behavioral health team - Provide consistent psychiatric coverage for the facility Ideal Candidate - MD or DO - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry - Ohio license preferred, or willingness/ability to obtain - Inpatient psychiatry or behavioral health facility experience preferred - Comfortable working in a higher-census behavioral health setting - Experience with PHP, detox, residential, substance use, or dual-diagnosis populations is a plus - Strong clinical judgment and communication skills - Reliable, team-oriented, and comfortable collaborating with clinical and facility leadership Why This Role Stands Out This is a strong opportunity for a psychiatrist who wants a clinical psychiatry role in a busy behavioral health environment without stepping into a Medical Director position.
