The Bert Nash Center (BNC) is seeking an innovative and collaborative Medical Director to author the next chapter of their pioneering crisis intervention center, the Treatment & Recovery Center (TRC) - The Position: - Lead a 24/7 crisis center with a 16-bed Observation and Stabilization Unit, walk-in urgent care and medication-assisted detox. - Monday - Friday with No Call - 75% or more administrative - Collaborates closely with the CMO and oversees all psychiatric providers while teaching residents and medical students. - Build on proven impact: 1,854 admissions and 1,059 mobile response dispatches in 2025. - Grow with the organization as Bert Nash develops an 8-bed Youth Recovery Center for ages 6 to 17. Living in Lawrence: - A vibrant college town home to the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University. - About 45 minutes from Kansas City and 30 minutes from Topeka. - Mass Street is among the Midwest's liveliest downtown districts for shopping, dining and entertainment. - Boat, camp, hike or swim at Clinton Lake and State Park, just outside town. - Cheer on the Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse, or catch the Chiefs, Royals and Sporting KC in Kansas City.
