We are urgently seeking a qualified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide care to adult psychiatric inpatient units at the Neurodiagnostic Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana. Join a multidisciplinary healthcare team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex mental health and behavioral needs. ⏰ Schedule & Work Hours - 📅 Monday–Thursday - 🕣 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM or 3:00 PM - 🕒 Approximately 4–7 hours per day - ✅ No on-call requirements - 🚀 Immediate availability preferred 🩺 Key Responsibilities - 🧠 Evaluate patients and assess psychiatric and medical conditions. - 📝 Obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations, and establish diagnoses. - 💊 Prescribe medications and treatments within applicable scope-of-practice guidelines. - 🤝 Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. - 🚑 Provide initial emergency care when necessary. - 💚 Develop individualized treatment and patient education plans. - 📋 Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical records. - 👩⚕️ Provide clinical guidance to nursing and direct-care staff. - 🎯 Support quality improvement initiatives and coordinate patient care. 📋 Ideal Candidate Profile ✅ Qualified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner ✅ Appropriate active Indiana licensure and prescribing authority ✅ Required DEA and Indiana Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) ✅ Experience caring for adult psychiatric or behavioral health patients ✅ Strong clinical assessment, communication, and emergency response skills ✅ Ability to work collaboratively in an inpatient healthcare setting 💵 Compensation & Contract Details 💰 $95/hour — Fixed Pay Rate 📍 On-site hospital assignment 📅 Contract through November 28, 2026 🔄 Potential extension opportunity 🚫 No on-call duties 🔥 URGENT SUBMISSION – ACTION NEEDED! 📩 Interested candidates should be ready to confirm: - Earliest available start date - Acceptance of the Monday–Thursday schedule - Ability to work the specified daily hours - Relevant psychiatric and inpatient experience - Indiana licensure, DEA, and CSR status
