Location: Brooklyn, New York Job Type: Locum Tenens – Physician Specialty: Adult Psychiatry Practice Setting: Inpatient Psychiatric Care The assignment is part of a long-term behavioral health program, with the opportunity extending through December 31, 2030, subject to assignment scheduling and contract terms. Job Responsibilities: Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for adult inpatient patients. Assess patients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Manage psychiatric medications and monitor treatment effectiveness. Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support patient care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Participate in required orientation and facility-specific training. Follow applicable clinical guidelines, institutional policies, and patient confidentiality requirements. Qualifications: MD or DO degree. Board Certification in Psychiatry required. Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience. Active malpractice insurance. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification. Enrollment in New York Medicaid and Medicare. Successful completion of site-specific orientation and TRUST training before starting. Working Hours: Hours: 40 hours per week Workdays: Monday–Friday Shift: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Schedule: 5 days per week Meal Break: 30 minutes On-Call: None Weekend Coverage: Not required
