Inpatient Adult Psychiatry Opportunity – Troy, NY Quick Screening Snapshot - Location: Troy, New York - Position Type: Full-time, inpatient adult psychiatrist - Unit: 30-bed adult mental health unit (shared between 2 psychiatrists) - Schedule: Full-time day shifts (aligned with hospital daytime coverage; exact hours not specified) - Call: 1:6 weekend rotation - Start Date: Immediate placement Licensure & Credentialing Requirements - Board Certification: Required OR truly Board Eligible (Psychiatry) - Board Status: Must be current (no lapsed certification accepted) - State License: New York license required or ability to obtain - DEA: Required Candidate Requirements - Experienced psychiatrists preferred; recent graduates acceptable - Not accepting locum candidates - Not open to visa sponsorship Clinical Role Overview - Provide inpatient psychiatric care across three specialized units: - Mental Health - MICA (Mentally Ill Chemically Addicted) - Gero-Psychiatry - Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, and community-based providers - Work as part of a multidisciplinary team: counselors, therapists, case managers, nurse practitioners, and fellow psychiatrists - Treat a diverse adult psychiatric population - Deliver patient-centered, compassionate care addressing medical, psychiatric, and social needs - Participate in weekend call rotation Compensation & Benefits - Competitive base salary - $25,000 starting bonus - $30,000 retention bonus - Productivity and quality-based incentives - Health, vision, and dental insurance - Paid malpractice including tail coverage - CME allowance and paid CME time - Paid time off - Retirement savings program with employer match - Relocation assistance available - Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Shift & Call Details - Day shifts on inpatient adult psychiatry unit - Weekend call: 1 weekend in 6 RecruitWell's Core Values: - Open communication - Sense of urgency - Teamwork - Accountability - Driven to win - Higher consciousness
